The Secondary/Tertiary Physiotherapist will provide biomechanical assessment, treatment and file management for Secondary and Tertiary physical rehabilitation clients. Provide direction in the client's exercise program for the exercise therapists. Provision of vacation/out of office coverage for other Secondary/Tertiary Biomechanical Therapists.
Coordinate and manage Secondary/Tertiary physical rehabilitation programs as part of a multi-disciplinary team including professionals such as Exercise Therapists, Psychologists and Chiropractors.
Work closely with the WCB and SGI Health Services Facilitators, the client's medical doctor and employer.
Excellent communication and realtionshiop skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both formally and informally, using a variety of methods to suit the needs of recipients which include clients, the multi-discilinary temam, clinic management, support staff and external professionals.
Ensure the administrative requirements of the program are met (e.g. submission of reports, return to work plans, etc.)
Provide mentoring, suppoet and feedback to members of the multi-disciplinary team, and non secondary/tertiary physiotherapists.
Hold a current license and be in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists.
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Physiotherapy
Minimum of three years post graduate experience demonstrable in real time preferred.
Experience in the interdisciplinary management of injured workers with complex medical and psychosocial issues would be an asset.
Experience completing ergonomic assessmnets, functional capacity evaluations, physical demands analysis and job site analysis would be an asset.
Compensation $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
