Bourassa and Associates have been in existence since 1986. The clinic has a history of exceptional quality of care and a keen interest in the health and well-being of its employees. We feel we have contributed to the respect for, and development of, physical therapy in this province. Despite being a large employer, we are keen to establish personal relationships with each of our staff, to work with them in clinical and professional development in their career plans. We are locally owned and will remain so. We strive to maintain an extended family approach with our staff.
The clinic owners are a mix of age and experience, willing and able to provide mentorship of a wide variety of physical therapy practice.
The pandemic closure has led to a profession-wide review of physical therapy practice and the short, medium and long term practice of our profession. The pandemic also shows the strength and flexibility of business practice. We are pleased to announce that we have reopened with all staff back to work. There are no plans to reduce salary or benefits.
We have a long history of higher than average staff salaries over an 8 annual increment step system that goes beyond public practice hourly rates. We value practice experience and every employee achieves the 8 step rate over time. There is no staff versus senior step system.
We offer internal and external education allowances better than we understand to be the average.
We believe our profession to be a “hands on” one and have no plans to change our historical practice, which combines both in clinic and virtual connection practices. Telerehabilitation has been part of our practice for 20 years and we believe in the appropriate but not excessive use of this technology.
If these changing times have given you pause to consider a change in your practice and your future, we would invite you to contact us for an interview.
